Wigan Warriors boss Denis Betts has been named the Women's Super League Coach of the Year.

The former Man of Steel and Lance Todd Trophy winner took his first job in the women's game with Wigan at the start of the 2024 season.

A young Warriors squad has dominated the 2025 campaign under Betts and lifted their first Challenge Cup in June with victory over St Helens at Wembley Stadium.

They also finished one point clear of Saints at the top of the Super League table with 12 wins, a draw and a single defeat from 14 matches.

It secured them home advantage in next Sunday in the Grand Final against Saints at The Brick Community Stadium (17:30 BST).

Warriors' Jenna Foubister, Eva Hunter and Isabel Rowe are also all in the running for this year's Woman of Steel award which will be announced at the Rugby League Awards Night on 7 October.
