I think watching the men's game, the big standout is the kicking game is phenomenal.

St Helens kept Warrington in their own half, it's tough for the props to get back behind the ball, at one point I thought it wasn't going to happen, then Tommy Makinson came up with a worldy in the corner

It's the fastest game I've seen in months, it's been a cracker so far.

Right from the kick-off we said Saints needed to start fast but they did the opposite. Their attitude and determination to bring it back was brilliant.

Tommy Makinson doesn't miss when he gets an opportunity, Whitley caused chaos, the chase on the kicks, I thought he was terrific.

To quickly recap, a Tommy Makinson fumble from the kick-off allowed Warrington to take the lead after just two minutes through Toby King.

Saints then went on to pile the pressure on the hosts, with Makinson making amends for his error with an equalising try.

Mark Percival added a second try before Makinson went over again to put Saints 16-4 up.

Warrington, however, found a way back into the game with Matty Ashton going over just before the interval.

What a terrifically chaotic first half of play-off rugby league.

St Helens lead by six points, but Warrington are right back in this game.

With a minute to go in the fist half, Jonny Lomax tries to add to St Helens advantage with a drop-goal attempt.

It's nowhere near the mark, and Warrington will one last chance to now attack before the interval.

I think Saints will be disappointed in how they defended there, a clever try.

We're having a game and a half here.

    Matty Ashton, con Thewlis

    Warrington needed this.

George Williams scampers towards the left corner for Warrington, he zips between two defenders with a wiggle of the hips then hooks a neat pass out to Matty Ashton to finish.

Josh Thewlis slots the conversion and it's a six-point game again.

  9. 'Warrington need to get in to regroup'published at 18:12 British Summer Time 28 September

    Robbie Hunter-Paul
Former New Zealand international on BBC One

Josh Drinkwater was way too wide of the mark, it's got to be a really aggressive position and get numbers in.

When you get your opportunities you execute them, Warrington need to get in to regroup.

    Tommy Makinson

And again, Tommy Makinson's try counts.

The winger's effort, as he crashes through two tackles from close range, extends St Helens' lead further.

Makinson came down hard just on the line, and momentum took him over.

There was scrutiny of his grounding, but there is no ruling out that try.

Mark Percival can't add the conversion this time, as his kick comes off the post.

Tommy Makinson is over again on the right for St Helens.

The on-field call is try, but the video referee will be looking to see if the ball was grounded.

We have just passed the 30-minute mark and Warrington find themselves carrying the ball from deep.

St Helens chaser come forward like a wall of red and white.

Still, James Harrison almost punches a hole down the middle.

He tries to squirm away, but loses the ball as he is wrapped up in a tackle.

That was St Helens at their best.

Straight from the kick, there was a great chase from Makinson to put them under pressure.

This is a different St Helens team, there is an edge about them.

    St Helens edge further ahead.

This try comes down to all the pressure Saints have quickly heaped on Warrington's defence from that kick.

Matt Dufty's failure to make the catch on the right, eventually leads to Mark Percival spinning over for Saint's second try out on the left edge.

Percival then steps up to convert his own try to make it an eight-point lead.
