I don’t think Wigan have been at Leigh’s tryline very much but they have just taken advantage of Leigh’s mistakes like with Edwin Ipape and Bailey Hodgson dropping the ball for the first try.

If Leigh could cut out their mistakes they can do a lot better in the second half because they have been in Wigan’s half a lot more than Wigan have been in Leigh’s.

  2. 'Time to reflect isn't now' - Hull KR boss Peterspublished at 20:57 BST 3 October

Hull KR v St Helens - Saturday, 4 October (17:30 BST)

Nine years ago, Hull KR were relegated from Super League having lost a nail-biting 'Million Pound Game' to Salford Red Devils courtesy of Gareth O'Brien's golden-point drop-goal.

Now, they are on the cusp of a historic treble, having already wrapped up the Challenge Cup and League Leaders' Shield this term.

Tomorrow they face St Helens in the other semi-final as they try make it to Old Trafford for Super League's showpiece event next week.

When asked if this season's honours have taken the pressure off somewhat, Peters did not agree.

"That's in the past," he said. "We're just focusing on this weekend. That's the most important game for us now. We've achieved that and we'll have the time to reflect on that at the right time after the season."

    HT: Wigan 14-6 Leigh

As Wigan and Leigh take a breather, and we are given a moments respite, let's look at some of the other rugby league stories this week.

That is probably the first time Jai Field and Bevan French have linked up in the opening 40 minutes and it was absolutely devastating.

It was Junior Nsemba with a quick play the ball on the left hand side then they play in a player who they know is so deadly.

French to Jai Field, he went through the gap and found an inside ball and then it's that man Bevan French, who already has his name on the scoresheet, who goes in again.

That last-minute try from Bevan French has put daylight between Wigan and Leigh in the stormy conditions in this Super League semi-final.

Incredible! Wigan add to their lead with a last-gasp try as the hooter sounds for half-time.

And it's Bevan French who comes up with his and Wigan's second try of the game.

Handling has been an issue in the greasy conditions so far, but Wigan shift the ball right with poise and polish.

Jai Field breaks the line and links up with the irrepressible French to score.

    Wigan 8-6 Leigh

Wigan might have one last attack before the hooter goes for half-time.

They will have the lead at the break for sure.

  8. PENALTY: Wigan 8-6 Leighpublished at 38 mins

    Adam Keighran

It's the simplest of kicks from Adam Keighran, who tees up his penalty just to the left of the posts.

He slots it and Wigan lead again.

That could prove to be a big two points in a tight game.

  9. Postpublished at 37 mins

    Wigan 6-6 Leigh

Another of those testing high balls causes havoc.

This time it's from Wigan, and Leigh's Edwin Ipape completely gets his positioning wrong as he takes Bevan French out as he chases the ball down.

It's a clear penalty, and Wigan ask for the kicking tee as they go for the two points.

  10. Postpublished at 35 mins

    Wigan 6-6 Leigh

Wigan have increasingly laboured to run the ball out of their own half.

It's only off these past two sets that they have made real inroads.

  11. Postpublished at 33 mins

    Wigan 6-6 Leigh

Leigh's Gareth O'Brien has Adam Keighran sweating under a searching ball to the corner.

Keighran holds his nerve for the catch, but spills the ball as he is tackled.

Fortunately for Wigan the ball went backwards before being collected.

    Wigan 6-6 Leigh

We are just pass the half-hour mark and neither side is letting up.

The try to restore parity has Leigh moving forward with renewed purpose.

    Jack Dearden

That was sensational from Robbie Mulhern and Wigan were clearly caught napping as Leigh go into the side of the post.

Wigan were punished. They clocked off and you cannot do that.

Leigh have the try they deserve!

There were some huge carries from Edwin Ipape and Isaac Liu to get Leigh within striking distance.

Robbie Mulhern then does well to pick a poor pass off his shoelaces to crash over from close range.

The conversion is straight forward, and the scores are locked up again.

  15. Postpublished at 26 mins

    Wigan 6-0 Leigh

Both sides knock on on the same play, near Wigan's line and it lands the ball back in Leigh's possession.

They will want to drive over for their first try of the game off the back of this...

  16. Postpublished at 25 mins

    Wigan 6-0 Leigh

Leigh so nearly carve out a huge moment.

Umyla Hanley come up with the ball off a kick on the last, but as he twists to offload the pass is picked off. And just like that, the chance is gone.

Ain't nobody keeping there hands on the ball at the minute.

This time Junior Nsemba can't keep a hold of it when he is brought down by Joe Ofahengaue, who has blood dripping down his face from a cut above his eye.

  18. Postpublished at 21 mins

    Wigan 6-0 Leigh

It's Leigh who fumble in the wet conditions to again hand the ball back to Wigan.

Warriors set the scrum inside the Leopards half and will fancy themselves from this position...

  19. Postpublished at 20 mins

    Wigan 6-0 Leigh

It's more than just strong winds playing a part in tonight's game, with the rain making things pretty greasy.

A lazy pass from Luke Thompson falls at the feet of Sam Walters, who knocks on when Wigan were looking to assert some pressure in Leigh's half.

  20. Postpublished at 17 mins

    Wigan 6-0 Leigh

Bailey Hodgson is being worked under the high ball in the strong winds brought by Storm Amy.

This time he does well in getting Leigh up to the halfway line and, after Leigh eventually kick, Wigan come straight back at them with equal gusto.

The ball is flung out to Jake Wardle, who gets to stretch his legs properly for the first time down the wing. He however, is stopped before doing too much damage.
