Sale Sharks sign Luther Burrell from Leeds Carnegie

Burrell played rugby league for Huddersfield Giants

Sale have signed centre Luther Burrell from Premiership rivals Leeds.

The 23-year-old will join current team-mate Kearnan Myall who also agreed a deal with the Sharks from the West Yorkshire club last month.

Executive director of sport Steve Diamond said: "Luther is is a powerful centre who can defend well and break holes in the opposition defence.

"He was a stand out player when Leeds played against us recently and I am sure he will fit in well."

Burrell has scored eight tries in 41 appearances for Leeds.
