Jersey Rugby Club's squad has been boosted by three new signings ahead of their first season in National League One.

It takes the summer signings to six after Nicky Griffiths, external, Guy Thompson and James Ellershaw, external signed up in June.

Jersey won promotion in May by beating Loughborough Students in a play-off.

The island's head coach Ben Harvey said: "We want to try and repeat the great days that we've had in the past.

"We've had to replace, in effect, four players that have left the club.

"We wanted to strengthen and get some more strength in depth and that's exactly what we've done."

Jersey's first game of the new season is away at Fylde on 27 August.
