Jersey Rugby Club have signed Scotland Under-20 international Glenn Bryce.

The 20-year-old, who can play on the wing or at full-back, played in all five of Scotland's Junior World Cup matches in Italy this summer.

He joins the club from Scottish side Heriot's and won the Scottish National Youth Cup with Stirling County in 2009.

"I'm delighted to have a player of Glenn's calibre joining us, and expect him to be a real asset once the season gets underway," coach Ben Harvey said.

"Having a strong squad in place is an essential factor in preparing for a hard season in which we will play 30 league games."

The island side travel to France on Thursday 11 August for a four-day training camp before their one-and-only pre-season match against Loughborough Students at St Peter on Saturday 20 August.

They begin their first season in National One with an away game at Fylde a week later.
