Flanker Akapusi Qera has agreed a new two-year contract at Gloucester.

The 27-year-old Fiji international is currently in his fifth season at Kingsholm and has made 94 appearances for the Premiership outfit.

"I love the people here, especially the fans and the crowd," he said. "It's an unbelievable place to play rugby and it's so easy to feel at home there.

"I'm happy to have signed this deal, and I will do my best to make sure we can win more silverware."

Qera arrived at Gloucester in the 2007-08 campaign after a spell in National One with Pertemps Bees, and scored eight tries in 20 starts during his first season.

He struggled with injury the following year but ran in 10 tries in 24 appearances on his return to the side in 2009/10.

The back-rower signed a contract extension in 2010 and was named player of the year that season.
