Danny Care signs three-year Harlequins contract extension

Harlequins scrum-half Danny Care has signed a three-year contract extension, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2016.

The 25-year-old, who has won 33 caps for England, joined the Premiership champions from Leeds in 2006.

"I'm enjoying being part of a talented squad that is playing an attractive and successful style of rugby," Care said.

"Winning trophies is why we play rugby and, having tasted some success in that regard, I would like more."

He added: "There is no other club that I want to play for.

"I believe that the best is yet to come from our players which is why I'm looking forward to another three seasons with the club."

Care, who won his first England cap against New Zealand in 2008, has made 116 appearances since his move to the Twickenham Stoop.

He has scored 28 tries for Quins, and 157 points in total in all competitions.

Care made his first appearance for England since August 2011 when he played in the third Test against South Africa in June.

The Leeds-born player had been dropped from the Six Nations squad in January after he was charged with a drink-driving offence.
