Redruth have re-signed hooker Matt Gidlow for their National Two South campaign.
The 28-year-old had been playing for Sheffield Tigers in National Two North since leaving Redruth in July 2011.
Gidlow, whose brother PJ once captained the Reds, spent more than four years at the Rec when the club played in what is now National One.
"It's fantastic, he's been playing up at Sheffield and he's great player," Reds boss Adrian Edwards said.
Gidlow has played in a number of development squad matches for the club since returning to Cornwall earlier this season.
"He's got loads of experience," Edwards told BBC South West Sport.
"But with Richard Brown and Neil Turner in there and playing well, he's by no means an automatic choice, but he does add to the squad's depth."
Gidlow played 70 games for the Reds, scoring two tries, in his first stint at the Rec, and Edwards says his knowledge of the club will be invaluable.
"It's always great to have experienced players who are around and know the club inside out
"It's great to have those players who've been at the club to come back and help our youngsters develop."
