Plymouth Albion survived a second-half surge from London Scottish to end their run of five consecutive defeats.

Albion led 21-3 at half-time after tries from Tom Bowen and Sean-Michael Stephen along with three Paul Roberts penalties.

Jim Thompson pulled a try back for the Scots before a penalty from former Albion favourite James Love.

Roberts kicked a fourth penalty for Albion before Paul Spivey's late try set up a nervy finish.
