London Irish back Shane Geraghty says the club's next four matches could define their season.

The Exiles, who host Exeter on Sunday before visiting London Welsh six days later, are currently second from bottom in the Premiership table.

They also have a crucial double-header against Gloucester in the Amlin Challenge Cup coming up.

"The next block of four games are massive for our season," Geraghty told BBC Radio Berkshire.

"We have had quite a few tests already this season, Northampton was a must win, and Exeter is also.

"Saturday's game is at the Madejski in front of our fans and we need a massive performance to get some momentum back into our season," he said.

It has been a frustrating return to the Exiles team for Geraghty, who has struggled with fitness, but he is relishing the challenge.

"It's been a bit of a struggle to get out on the pitch," he admitted.

"It was a frustrating time, especially because the club had so many injuries.

"I've had a fair bit of time off but I've got my body right and it's nice to be back involved."
