England Women v New Zealand: Katy McLean back for England
- Published
England Women have made seven changes as they go in search of a 3-0 series victory over world champions New Zealand on Saturday.
Fly-half Katy McLean returns to captain England with Alice Richardson moving back to centre, while Katherine Merchant returns on the wing.
Victoria Fleetwood and Laura Keates return at hooker and tight-head prop.
Rowena Burnfield is back in at lock while Heather Fisher and Marlie Packer return to the back row.
England won the first Test 16-13 on Friday and followed that up with a 17-8 victory on Tuesday to wrap up the three-match series.
But they will be keen to complete a clean sweep at Twickenham with their match kicking off at 17:00 GMT, straight after the men's game between England and New Zealand.
Mclean insists that a whitewash of New Zealand should only be a stepping stone to the ultimate aim of taking their opponents' world title at the next Women's Rugby World Cup in France in 2014.
The Black Ferns have won the last four World Cups, beating England in the final of the past three tournaments.
"I think the World Cup is massively raw for us," said McLean.
"You can't change it and, as amazing as these series are and as good as it is that the girls are doing really well, until we get to a World Cup final and beat them there, that is the ultimate goal.
"To look at how far we have come from last year's series is probably the most pleasing thing for our coaching staff.
"Those little bits of information, the fact that we know we can come from 10 points behind and beat a very good New Zealand side is going to be crucial when we get to a World Cup final."
England were in a strong position to complete a 3-0 series victory over New Zealand a year ago, but drew the final match 8-8 after winning the first two 10-0 and 21-7.
Vice-captain Sarah Hunter said: "We were in this position this time last year and we didn't complete the job. We didn't lose, but we drew the final game.
"We really want to go on and win this one. The mentality has been exactly the same. We've reviewed the games from Friday and Tuesday and learned what we needed to improve on, because there's no doubt that there are areas we need to get better in.
"We've done that, we've worked on things in training, we'll prepare the same way tomorrow and then for Saturday. So it's no different, really.
"We're going back to it as if it's 0-0. This one's as important as the rest and we really want to finish on a high at Twickenham."
Head coach Gary Street is equally determined to finish the series in style.
"This is certainly my strongest available starting line-up," he said. "We are going to give everything we have got for the final match."
