Wales ended a run of eight straight defeats as George North's spectacular finish helped them beat France and win in Paris for the first time since 2005.

A penalty apiece from Frederic Michalak and Leigh Halfpenny made the Six Nations encounter 3-3 at the break.

Halfpenny and Michalak exchanged further penalties in the second half.

North smashed his way over late on and Halfpenny's conversion and third penalty saw France slump to their second consecutive defeat.
