Glasgow's Duncan Weir leaves the field on a stretcher

Glasgow Warriors have confirmed stand-off Duncan Weir suffered a broken leg during the victory over Ospreys.

Weir, 21, underwent surgery on a fracture to his right fibula following Friday's match.

"We're gutted for Duncan, he's had a really good season and he'll be disappointed to miss the final few games," said head coach Gregor Townsend.

"He's on the road to recovery and we wish him all the best."

Weir thanked well-wishers for their support, adding: "My phone has not stopped and it's really helped me over the last couple of days."
