Nottingham Rugby: Alex Shaw & Tom Calladine sign new deals

Nottingham back-row forwards Alex Shaw and Tom Calladine have signed contract extensions with the Meadow Lane club.

Shaw, 26, has been ever present this season, scoring eight tries in 25 starts and helping the Green & Whites finish second in the Championship.

Calladine, 23, has also impressed in his first season as a professional.

Head coach Martin Haag, who recently signed a new two-year contract himself, said: "They have both done an extremely good job this season."

He added: "You only need to look at Tom captaining the side a few times in the last couple of weeks to see that he has done a great job for us.

"Alex started really well and has continued that throughout the season. I hope to see more of the same in the play-offs and moving forward."
