Worcester director of rugby Dean Ryan hopes to bring in Carl Hogg from former club Gloucester as Warriors' new forwards coach.

But it may cost Worcester compensation as Hogg is still under contract at Kingsholm for another year.

Ryan released four of predecessor Richard Hill's backroom team last week.

Forwards consultant Phil Vickery, assistant coach Nigel Redman, defence coach Phil Larder and attack consultant Mathieu Rourre have all left Sixways.

Former Scotland back row forward Hogg was brought to Gloucester by Ryan as part of his coaching staff in 2006.

But he stayed on under old Scotland team-mate Bryan Redpath after Ryan's departure in 2009, signing a new three-year deal in 2011.

After taking temporary charge following Redpath's resignation, he remained part of the coaching staff at Kingsholm following the appointment of Nigel Davies last summer.
