Leicester Tigers wing Miles Benjamin could miss the start of the new Premiership season because of an ongoing neck problem.

Benjamin joined the current Premiership champions from Worcester last summer.

But the 25-year-old is yet to make a first-team appearance for Tigers after suffering an injury in an A League game at Northampton in September.

"Miles may not make the start of the season," director of rugby Richard Cockerill told BBC Radio Leicester.

"It is a bit like Tom Croft with the [neck] injury, external he had - the timescale is not the important thing, it is getting it 100% right."
