Greig Tonks: Scotland & Edinburgh back faces lay-off
- Published
Scotland and Edinburgh back Greig Tonks will miss the rest of the season because of a shoulder injury.
The 24-year-old was forced off early during Scotland A's draw with England Saxons last week.
Tonks will undergo surgery to repair the damage and his recovery is expected to take up to six months.
"This is really disappointing news for Greig," said Edinburgh head coach Alan Solomons. "We all wish him a speedy recovery."
Solomons added he was looking forward to having Tonks back for pre-season.
