Jersey end pre-season on a high against coach Biljon's former club

Jersey ended their pre-season campaign on a high, beating Blackheath 47-12 at St Peter.

Converted tries from Ryan Hodson, Lewis Robling, and Jonny Bentley saw the hosts lead 21-0 at the break.

The visitors hit back with a try early in the second half before Jersey replied through winger Mark Foster.

The Championship side stamped their authority on the game with late tries from number eight Paul Kaho and full-back Tommy Bell.

Jersey coach Harvey Biljon, who played and coached at Blackheath for four years until 2009, takes his side to Moseley next Saturday for the opening league game of the season.
