Rugby World Cup 2015: All matches to have ticket ballots
- Published
Every match at next year's Rugby World Cup in England will be balloted for tickets in at least one price category.
Twenty of the 48 games are oversubscribed across all four categories - leading to a ballot for tickets for those games at all prices.
The sales window closed on Monday and applicants will learn the outcome of the ballots in October.
England Rugby 2015 chief executive Debbie Jevans said: "We are very pleased with the demand for tickets."

She added: "It is clear that for many matches, demand has exceeded supply and every one of the 48 matches will go to ballot in at least one of the four price categories.
"We will be running ballots in the next few weeks to ensure tickets are allocated fairly, ensuring as many rugby fans as possible get tickets."
Any remaining unsold tickets will go on general sale in November, though these are likely to be mostly in the higher price categories.
International Rugby Board Chairman Bernard Lapasset said: "Excitement around Rugby World Cup 2015 is really building with less than a year to go, and the demand for tickets over the past 18 days really shows what a special event it is set to be."
The tournament begins in September 2015, with the 20 participating teams competing at 12 venues across England, as well as Wales's Millennium Stadium.
