Plymouth Albion have suspended hooker Tom Cowan-Dickie for four weeks after his sending off in Friday evening's game against Yorkshire Carnegie.
The 23-year-old was dismissed in the 57th minute of the 19-19 draw.
Cowan-Dickie was sent off for violent conduct on the advice of the assistant referee and the club later imposed the ban after viewing video footage.
Albion, who had lost their 17 previous games, led 19-11 but Carnegie levelled with a penalty and an injury-time try.
The home side had the chance to snatch victory at the death, but Harry Leonard missed his conversion following Christian Georgiou's dramatic try.
Albion's points came courtesy of a Sam Simmonds try, which came when they were already down to 14 men, and four penalties and a conversion by Lawrence Rayner.
Despite the result, they remain five points adrift at the foot of the Championship table.
