Six Nations 2015: Scotland make two changes for Wales

Experienced wing Sean Lamont returns to the Scotland line-up

Scotland head coach Vern Cotter has made two changes to his line-up for Sunday's Six Nations meeting with Wales.

Sean Lamont replaces the injured Tommy Seymour on the wing.

And tight-head prop Geoff Cross comes in for Euan Murray, who does not play on Sundays for religious reasons.

"There's a huge amount of determination in this group to improve," said Cotter, whose side opened the championship with a 15-8 defeat by France in Paris.

"Last weekend's performance, in terms of line-breaks and heart, was encouraging. We defended well and our lineout, scrum and defence stood up to a very stern French assessment.

"I'm pleased we were in a situation to contest the match throughout, but we left the paddock very frustrated and disappointed that we didn't get more from the game - and I think that's a good measure of this squad.

"The challenge [is] now to go one step further and deliver a winning performance for our home fans. The boys love playing at home.

"The fans were outstanding throughout the autumn and we're looking forward to getting back out there, pulling on the jersey, rolling up our sleeves and having a good crack at a powerful Welsh side."

Lamont's Glasgow Warriors team-mate Seymour came off during the first half of Scotland's opener in France, with Dougie Fife coming on to score the game's only try.

However, Fife is not included in the squad to face Wales and his place on the bench is take by Edinburgh back Matt Scott. Glasgow's Jon Welsh is also named as a replacement with Cross promoted to the starting line-up.

Warriors centre Peter Horne, who came on for Alex Dunbar last weekend, is omitted from the squad with Edinburgh's Greig Tonks taking his place on the bench.

Scotland, who won two of their three autumn Tests, have not beaten Wales since 2007 when seven Chris Paterson penalties secured a 21-9 victory at Murrayfield.

Last year, Wales humbled the Scots 51-3 in Cardiff.
