Rhys Webb has already tasted success with Ospreys in Munster this season

Rhys Webb says Ospreys can become the first team to win away in the Pro12 play-off semi-finals when they go to Munster next weekend.

Ospreys beat Connacht 24-20 in Galway in Saturday's last round of the regular season.

Webb scored one of his side's three tries, but the lack of a fourth try for a bonus point allowed Munster and Glasgow to pip Ospreys to a home berth.

"I don't see why not [Ospreys winning in Munster]," said scrum-half Webb.

"We're a team playing some good rugby at the moment, we can take a lot of positives from the way we're playing.

"To come away from home and beat a Connacht team like this is pretty pleasing as well.

"It was a disappointment not getting that bonus point but we know we're capable as a team to go to these places and get a win.

"We played some good rugby in the first half. Could have been better, a few silly off-loads that didn't go to plan.

"We knew the second half was going to be a lot tougher with Connacht using the wind and... we just couldn't get enough phases in their half.

"We know we need to sharpen up a little bit and finish the season strong.

"I want to win this Guinness Pro12 final, so we know we need to put a big performance in next week against a strong Munster side."

Ospreys travel to Munster on Saturday, 23 May, although the Welsh region have already won at Thomond Park this season with a 19-14 victory back in September.

"We have won, we can take a lot of positives from that," Webb said.

"But Munster are a strong world-class team and we know it's going to be a really tough game.

"We know next week is just about winning, not chasing the bonus-point try, just about winning."

Webb played in Galway despite his partner giving birth to their second child the day before the game.

"It's been a busy week... my partner finally got induced yesterday [Friday] morning, so it was touch and go whether I'd be at the game," added the Wales scrum-half.

"But I always had it in the back of my mind I wanted to play and had the support of my partner, she told me to go and play.

"So very happy with the birth of my boy, Jesse, and I was on the plane hoping we'd get that home semi."
