Pro12: Players' awards for Rhys Webb and Sam Hidalgo-Clyne

Rhys Webb has scored 18 tries in the 2014-15 season - 13 for Ospreys and five for Wales

Ospreys and Wales half-back Rhys Webb has been voted Pro12 player of the season.

The 26-year-old scrum-half has scored 12 tries in the tournament this season, and topped a poll of club captains.

Edinburgh scrum-half Sam Hidalgo-Clyne was named young player of the year.

Glasgow's Gregor Townsend is coach of the year after his team topped the table, while Warriors' captain Alastair Kellock received the chairman's award for outstanding service.

Hidalgo-Clyne, 21, has scored more than 150 points in all competitions and made his international debut for Scotland against France during the Six Nations Championship.

Webb's breakthrough season has seen him establish himself as Wales' first-choice number nine ahead of Mike Phillips.

He has rewarded national coach Warren Gatland's faith with five tries in eight appearances this term.

Previous winners of the award include Tommy Bowe, Ruan Pienaar, Tim Visser, Nick Williams and Webb's Ospreys and Wales half-back partner Dan Biggar.

Webb was not able to attend the awards ceremony on Dublin on Sunday, choosing instead to return home after Ospreys' 24-20 win over Connacht to see his new son Jesse who was born on Friday.
