Jordan Turner-Hall made his debut for Harlequins aged 17

Harlequins and former England centre Jordan Turner-Hall has retired at the age of 27 because of a hip injury.

Turner-Hall, who won two international caps in 2012, came through the Quins academy and made 181 appearances.

"I've had so many great memories playing at Harlequins and they will live with me forever," he told the club's website.

"Jordan has been a very special person and will be missed by us all," said Quins director of rugby Conor O'Shea.

"He has played at times with no regard for himself, but always for the team."

Turner-Hall, who played for England at every level from under-16s to under-20s, helped Quins win the Amlin Challenge Cup in 2011 and the Premiership title in 2012.

He made only 11 appearances last season and did not feature after February.

He said: "You enjoy the buzz that you get before each game and it's something I'll miss hugely."
