Francois Trinh-Duc left out of France World Cup squad

Trinh-Duc made his international debut in 2008 and has 50 caps

Fly-half Francois Trinh-Duc has been left out of France coach Philippe Saint-Andre's squad for the World Cup.

The 28-year-old, who played in the 2011 final, lost out to veteran Frederic Michalak, 32, who was at fly-half for Saturday's warm-up win over England.

Saint-Andre, who steps down after the tournament, also left out forwards Xavier Chiocci, Sebastien Vahaamahina, Yoann Goujon and centre Remi Lamerat.

France, three times beaten finalists, begin against Italy on 19 September.
