Will Lloyd: London Irish sign second row from Auckland

Will Lloyd played junior rugby for North Harbour before joining Auckland

London Irish have bolstered their second-row options by signing Will Lloyd for the remainder of the season.

Lloyd joins from Auckland, having represented the Blues in Super Rugby.

He was part of the Auckland squad for last year's ITM Cup and his impressive performances earned him a place in the Blues squad for 2015.

"A move to Irish is a great opportunity to play in one of the toughest leagues in the world," the 25-year-old told the London Irish website.

Glenn Delaney, head of rugby operations for the Exiles, added: "He is a tough lock forward who will add further depth to our forward pack and push hard for a starting position."
