Launceston 'already relegated', says boss Jimmy Tucker

Launceston head coach Jimmy Tucker says he is resigned to seeing his side being relegated from National Two South.

The Cornish All Blacks have yet to win a game this season and are 22 points adrift at the bottom of the table.

"Mathematically we're not relegated but, let's be realistic, we are," Tucker told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"There's still light there for them to go in search of and still some victories that they can pull off," added Tucker.

The club have lost 15 of their 16 games this season, with the club's only positive result coming in a draw with Southend in Tucker's first game in charge back in November.

Earlier this week Tucker criticised some of his players as being "lazy", but if attitudes change he says he would not necessarily bring in too many new faces ahead of the 20 February registration deadline.

"The players in the squad are good enough, but they've got to step out of their comfort zone," he said.

"I don't want to make radical changes, I don't think constant changing of personnel is healthy, we want some familiarity.

"I do think 'why am i doing this?' But I know the answer to that, and that's because I'm a Launceston man through and through.

"I had a fantastic time here in my playing career and other good men did a coaching job for me and sacrificed their time and that's the reason why I'm doing it."
