Wales back-row forward Dan Baker will miss Ospreys' final two games of the Pro12 season after undergoing shoulder surgery.

The number eight, 23, had surgery on Thursday after being injured in his side's 47-10 win over Treviso on 15 April.

Twice capped Baker has featured 24 times for Ospreys this season.

Baker signed a national dual contract in November 2015,

"It was decided that it would be in Dan's best interests to cut short his season and prioritise getting the shoulder repaired," Ospreys medical performance manager Chris Towers said.

"With surgery this week he will continue across the summer, reintegrating into rugby during the pre-season period."
