Cardiff Blues players react to their late victory over the Newport Gwent Dragons

Newport Gwent Dragons fell at the first hurdle in defence of their Singha Premiership Rugby 7s title.

Blues and Ospreys advanced to the finals day in Coventry on Sunday, 7 August, after the Blues' dramatic 24-22 win over the Dragons denied the Men of Gwent at Cardiff Arms Park.

Two yellow cards in the final game cost the Dragons who were denied by a try at the death from Dane Blacker.

The Dragons won the 2015 final with a last-gasp success against Wasps.
