Redruth boss Marek Churcher believes Tommy Phillips and Adam Wright have a "massive future" after impressing in their 48-12 win over Barnstaple.

Prop Phillips scored one of seven tries for the Reds while Wright, 18, came off the bench for his debut.

"Playing this standard is all about experience, but the only way you get that is by playing," said Churcher.

"Tommy was all over the place, and what a way to cap your 50th appearance, by diving under the posts."

Redruth have started the National Two South campaign with two victories, following an opening-day triumph against Henley.

Phillips and Wright have both graduated from Truro College's rugby system.

"They've got a massive future ahead, wherever they decide to go in the future," Churcher told BBC Radio Cornwall.
