Northampton welcome back Dylan Hartley as they make five changes to their starting XV for the trip to Castres.
Having beaten Montpellier in their Pool 4 opener, Hartley, Courtney Lawes, Teimana Harrison, Rory Hutchinson and James Wilson all return.
England captain Hartley, who has been out for six weeks with a back injury, replaces Mikey Haywood at hooker.
Castres were beaten 33-15 by Leinster last weekend and have lost three straight games, all away from home.
Lawes was a late withdrawal for the 16-14 victory over Montpellier but replaces Sam Dickinson in the second row on Saturday.
Harrison starts at open-side flanker in place of Calum Clark, while in the backs Wilson makes his first start of the season in place of Ken Pisi on the right wing.
There is also a full European debut for Hutchinson, who has replaced George Pisi to form a youthful centre pairing alongside Harry Mallinder.
Saints fans could get their first glimpse of Tonga international Nafi Tuitavake, as he has been named on the bench.
Centre Luther Burrell misses out as he is still suffering concussion symptoms, while Christian Day, James Craig, JJ Hanrahan and Jamie Elliott are among those also ruled out.
Castres head coach Christophe Urios: "It is a great pleasure to get back to familiar surroundings on Saturday, and playing in front of our fans, our friends and our families.
"The defeat at Leinster will allow us to discover things about the team and grow. We must now continue to erase our mistakes and keep moving forward."
Northampton backs coach Alan Dickens: "Dylan has trained fully this week, it's just dependent on how he reacts. He's there or thereabouts.
"It's about the fourth time we've been drawn with Castres and we know the challenges that await. They have a quality scrum-half in Rory Kockott, they are a different side at home.
"We are under no illusions about how difficult it will be to get a result in Castres, but that's what we're going to do."
