Stephen Jones: Wayne Pivac would support Scarlets coach for Wales role

Scarlets head coach Wayne Pivac would support attack coach Stephen Jones joining Wales' back-room team for next summer's Pacific Islands tour.
Robin McBryde will be in charge of Wales with head coach Warren Gatland leading the Lions in New Zealand and Rob Howley among his assistants.
McBryde's assistants have yet to be announced but Jones is in contention.
"We would be very supportive of any of our coaches getting that opportunity," Pivac said.
"Stephen is a good young coach, as is Ioan [Cunningham] and Byron [Hayward].
"If anyone of them were to be asked we would definitely sit down and look at that.
"It's just working around the current contract situation."
Former Wales and British and Irish Lions fly-half Jones, who scored over 900 points in 104 appearances for Wales, returned to his former region's coaching team in 2015.
The 38-year-old was also part of the coaching team at Wasps, where he ended a playing career which included two spells with Scarlets, Clermont Auvergne and Llanelli.
His former international and regional team-mate, Robin McBryde, will assume head coach responsibilities for the third time after leading Wales on tours in 2009 and 2013.
Welsh Rugby Union chairman Gareth Davies has said they hope to make an announcement regarding McBryde's coaching team next week.
"I think it will be a decision well received and a dynamic coaching team for Tonga to Samoa," Davies said,
"Things are not 100% finalised so it would be wrong to pre-empt that."
