Flanker James Freeman grabbed Jersey's second from close range

Jersey Reds came from 11-0 down to narrowly beat Nottingham in the Championship at Lady Bay.

After flanker Ben Morris ran from his own half for the opening score, Jersey hit back with tries from driving mauls, from Joe Buckle and James Freeman.

Lawrence Rayner's boot kept Nottingham in touch but Jake Armstrong powered over for the Reds by the posts late on.

There was still time for Calum Hall to go over in the corner from a cross-field kick to set up a tense finale.

But Jersey saw out the game to move above both Nottingham and Cornish Pirates into sixth spot in the Championship table.
