Jersey Reds back Ross Adair will stay with the Championship club despite leaving the island at the end of last season.

The 23-year-old, who can play at full-back or wing, returned to Ireland at the end of last term when his contract ran out.

However, he did not find a new club and has returned to Harvey Biljon's side.

"After having a good conversation with Ross we've got the best solution, as it were," Biljon told BBC Radio Jersey.

"It's great to have Ross on board - over the last two seasons he's been a big part of what we've been doing. From a coaching perspective we recognise how much Ross can also contribute."

Meanwhile, Biljon added that he hopes to add "one or two players" to his squad in the next few weeks.

"We're in a transitional stage," he said.

"We've got a lot of players coming in, but that's the reason we're putting as much hard work in at the moment to make sure we can be as ready as possible before the season starts."
