Former captain Stephen Moore has been recalled to the Australia side to face Scotland on Saturday for what will be his final Test before retirement.
Moore, 34, will win his 129th cap, 12 years after his debut against Samoa and exactly 11 years since his first start, also against Scotland at Murrayfield.
Tatafu Polota-Nau drops to the bench, while flanker Ben McCalman also comes in to replace the injured Ned Hanigan.
Tonga-born Taniela Tupou could make his debut two days after becoming eligible.
"I'd started planning for life after rugby since announcing my retirement in July this year and the opportunity that I was exploring materialised probably six months earlier than I had expected," said Moore.
"The time feels right to finish my rugby career. I have also been very grateful to have worked alongside [Australia coach] Michael Cheika and proud of how Michael Hooper has embraced his role as Wallaby captain and everything that goes with that."
The Australia line-up was announced shortly before the autumn internationals disciplinary authority announced that head coach Michael Cheika had escaped punishment after an investigation into his comments and conduct during Saturday's defeat by England at Twickenham.
Cheika had reacted angrily to a series of decisions and was involved in an exchange with a supporters shortly before half-time, leading to a referral from World Rugby.
"In light of Mr Cheika's explanations of his conduct, his clear understanding of the need to protect and promote the interests of the sport and his open apology for any offence caused, the disciplinary officer for the autumn internationals, in consultation with World Rugby, has decided not to pursue any disciplinary proceedings against Mr Cheika," said a statement.
"The disciplinary officer has, however, urged Mr Cheika to be aware of the risks during matches when he knows he will be being filmed and potentially broadcast - and where possible to moderate his conduct and language accordingly. Mr Cheika has accepted the position."
Meanwhile, Prop Tupou, the 21-year-old who joined the squad last week in London, has impressed sufficiently in training to win a place on the Australian bench.
Lock Lukhan Tui has recovered from a hamstring injury to take his place among the replacements, where Tetera Faulkner takes over from Allan Alaalatoa as the reserve loose-head.
Wing Henry Speight also joins the bench.
On Tuesday, the Australia squad were forced off their training pitch at Peffermill, but captain Michael Hooper insists this has had little bearing on their preparations for Saturday's game.
"We have really enjoyed ourselves here," he said. "It's wet, it's cold, it's sunny one minute, then it's raining another minute.
"It hasn't been without it's mini challenges, but that's pretty much every week when you are an away team throughout the year. Even when you are in Australia.
"So it's nothing new for us. It was challenging on Tuesday, but we have made a bit of enjoyment out of it."
Hooper was part of the squad that lost to Scotland in the summer in Sydney.
"It is a good chance to see where we have improved," he added. "Losing at home hurts and the fashion that it went down to the wire there. It stung."
