Ospreys head coach Steve Tandy accepts "questions will be asked" following their record 47-6 Pro14 home defeat by Glasgow.

Tandy's side conceded seven tries without reply at Liberty Stadium to leave Ospreys bottom of Conference A with only two wins this season.

"I believe in myself and how we go about our business," said Tandy.

"Ultimately when you get results and scoreboards like that then there are going to be questions asked."

Ospreys included 10 Wales caps in their match day squad, despite the absence of a host of players on autumn international duty.

Tandy refused to blame the absence of those Wales internationals or injuries for Sunday's home rout in Swansea by the Conference A leaders.

"Glasgow were missing a bucketful and I'm not going to sit here and say that's why we lost as heavily as we did," he said.

"We should never be losing those games.

"We've got a good enough side out there to produce a better performance than that."

Recruitment for 2018-19

In the longer term, Tandy hopes recruitment for 2018-19 will make them more competitive.

He was asked about reported interest in Wales and Scarlets centre Scott Williams and replied: "We'd always be interested in that sort of calibre of player."

Tandy added: "I've spoken to the board and we're pushing on and hopefully we will make some signings in the next couple of weeks to make us more competitive.

"But ultimately we know we've got to produce better performances now to help that recruitment as well.

"Obviously we're a bit thin behind the scrum so we definitely need a couple of signings there.

"You definitely need more competition and you need high-level competition, not just bringing people in or just relying on young kids.

"There has to be that influx of players, but you can only do that if you've got the funding available."
