Worcester missed the chance to go top of their European Challenge Cup pool after falling to defeat at Oyonnax.
In wintry conditions in eastern France, Sam Olver kicked Warriors ahead but Joe Taufete'e's yellow card allowed Vincent Lasmarrigues and Julien Audy to score.
Trailing 20-3 at the break, Olver went over for the visitors but Valentin Ursache's try kept Oyannax in control.
Alafoti Faosiliva bundled over for the Premiership side and Olver's conversion ensured them a losing bonus point.
The Top 14 club could have denied Gary Gold's players that reward, but missed a penalty with the last kick of the game.
American Taufete'e was sin-binned midway through the first half for a tip-tackle, which made it difficult for Worcester to repeat their 35-14 victory over Oyonnax on Saturday.
Worcester will play Pool Five rivals Brive and Connacht in January, which will decide whether they reach the knockout stages.
