Harlequins suffered a bonus-point defeat in Grenoble in their second European Challenge Cup group game.

After conceding an early penalty, Quins' Marcus Smith converted his own try, only for Grenoble scrum-half Corentin Glenat to kick two more penalties before half-time.

After trailing 9-7 at the break, Quins edged ahead with two Smith penalties.

But winger Lolagi Visinia crossed to put the hosts in front, Burton Francis converting then adding a penalty.

Quins, who began their campaign with a 54-22 win over French side Agen at The Stoop last Saturday, remain top of Pool Five.

They are level on points with Italian side Benetton, who suffered a 20-19 defeat at Agen on Friday night.

Grenoble, 11th in the French top tier, lost their opening pool game 40-14 at Benetton last weekend.

They are third after their victory at Stade des Alpes - level on points with Agen and only two points behind Quins in what looks a competitive group.
