Olly Cracknell's late try helped 14-man London Irish to a dramatic victory over Edinburgh as they stretched their lead at the top of Challenge Cup Pool C.
Agustin Creevy's red card for a headbutt when Irish trailed 17-14 looked to have ended their chances.
But Cracknell added to tries from Kyle Rowe and Ollie Hoskins, and Paddy Jackson converted for a one-point win.
Adam McBurney and Ramiro Moyano crossed in the first half for Edinburgh but they were outshone after the break.
Creevy was initially given a yellow card by referee Gianluca Gnecchi for making contact with the face of Jamie Ritchie while on the floor but it was upgraded to red when replays showed a headbutt.
However, the Argentine's dismissal with 23 minutes to go appeared to galvanise the hosts at the Brentford Community Stadium.
After Jaco van der Walt's second penalty stretched Edinburgh's lead to six points, the Exiles put them under huge pressure in the final 10 minutes.
The decisive moment came three minutes from full-time as Edinburgh were punished for being offside and flanker Cracknell bundled over from the resulting penalty.
Jackson kept his cool to slot the extras and move Irish five points clear at the top of the group.
