Harlequins have signed South African Danelle Lochner for the 2023-24 Premiership Women's Rugby season.

The lock made her Springboks debut in March this year and has gone on to be capped 10 times, scoring two tries.

The 26-year-old links up with team-mates Babalwa Latsha and Aseza Hele at Quins, who she will join following the end of the WXV tournament.

Lochner has also represented South Africa in netball and has been playing club rugby in her home country.

"Danelle is a naturally talented athlete, who has transitioned well from netball into rugby over the past couple of years," said head coach Amy Turner

"She's very dextrous and is a physically imposing player, who fits well with how we want to play the game and the DNA of a club like Harlequins."
