Saracens Women have signed Canadian international and former Worcester Warriors winger Paige Farries.

Farries, 29, made her debut for Canada in 2017 and joined Warriors in 2020.

She scored four tries at the 2021 Rugby World Cup and a brace for Worcester against Saracens in their Allianz Premier 15s fixture last year.

"She manages space really well and has the ability to beat people with her footwork," director of rugby Alex Austerberry told the club website, external.

"She's also a really strong defender and I have no doubt she is going to be a great addition to our back-three unit.

"It's sad to have seen what happened at Worcester but I'm really pleased that we are able to give Paige this opportunity going forward."

After the men's side went into administration in 2022, Worcester Warriors Women pulled out of this season's league and cup competitions in October.

"It's been a whirlwind return back to the UK," said Ferries. "The dissolution of Warriors has flipped life on its head a bit. But coming to Saracens has put a spring back in my step.

"I'm excited for the season and know that this will be a great place to continue my development in my career."
