Exeter Chiefs scrum-half Will Becconsall has returned to Cornish Pirates for a second loan spell.

The 22-year-old - born in Truro - plied his trade with the Championship club in the second half of last season after making seven appearances for Chiefs in 2024-25.

Becconsall's arrival means he is the fifth dual-registered player from Exeter to join Pirates for the current campaign.

He joins Alfie Bell, Jack Forsythe, Sol Moody and Louie Sinclair in the list of Chiefs players to be involved at Mennaye Field this season.

"It's always great to have a local lad," said joint Pirates head coach Gavin Cattle on the official club website., external "He had a really good impact last year both on and off the field.

"He's at that point of his career where he needs minutes and in doing so really has the potential to push on to the next level. We're delighted to have him back."
