Saracens sign scrum-half Braley on short-term deal

Callum Braley spent two years with Northampton after spells with Bristol, Gloucester and Italian side Benetton

Saracens have signed former Northampton Saints scrum-half Callum Braley on a short-term contract.

The 30-year-old joins on a three-month deal to cover for Gareth Simpson, who is out injured for the first part of the 2024-25 campaign.

Braley has 15 international caps for Italy and represented them at the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.

"Callum is a very experienced player who we are confident will be a strong addition to our squad," director of rugby Mark McCall told the club website.

"We are already impressed with how he has settled in and look forward to seeing him take to the pitch."
