We've got to give Australia's defence a bit of credit. They're not getting sucked in, they're keeping their width well.

Scotland have had chances but they're taking the wrong option. Blair Kinghorn has run 75m but created nothing. You'd expect him to create or score a try with those numbers.

They've got to tighten things up and become more efficient.

Finn Russell has taken a couple of heavy hits. It was noticeable the Scotland fly-half was shifting the ball a bit quicker the longer the first half went on.

Both teams will think 'if we don't make it a nightmare for the opposition at the breakdown, they will get quick ball and we will be up against it'.

Both teams are doing that, and as a result neither team has gotten into their attacking stride. The ball is being slowed down by a half-second which allows defences to get set.

The defences are winning out.

Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii enjoyed a fantastic debut against England, but his second Australia start will not provide such great memories.

His wrist is strapped up after that ferocious collision with Sione Tuipulotu and we won't be seeing him again.

The Aussies, for 18 minutes, dominated. They had a couple of opportunities around Scotland's 5m line and didn't take any of them. Got out with only three points.

Scotland will be disappointed they only got seven points after that. They missed an easy three from in front of the posts. They made a few errors near the line.

It's a bit of a battle, not the free-flowing game we thought it would be.

A rather underwhelming half comes to an end with just one try scored.

It was a great moment for the Scotland captain though, Sione Tuipulotu crashing through to score. With his granny watching on too!

It was a rugby league tackle. I've been watching him in a few of the breakdowns, he was starting to lose the plot.

A few tackles were very rugby league.

Ouch! Welcome to top level rugby union Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii as he collides with Sione Tuipulotu.

It looks like he might have damaged his hand or wrist. It might even be a head knock.

Either way, he's walking off the pitch and not looking too happy.

Duhan van der Merwe threatens to break free as he wriggles away from a couple of challenges but the Scotland wing is eventually stopped in his tracks.

Things starting to go Scotland's way now as Jamie Ritchie snaffles the ball at the breakdown. The crowd are much livelier now.
