    I agree with the referee.

When you look at it in real time, Ben Thomas has very little time to think or act in a malicious nature.

Wales are going very hard at the ruck. There are lots of way to slow the ball down and that is what Wales are trying to do to Scotland.

    Scotland 14-3 Wales

Elliot Dee wins a penalty for Wales at the breakdown after the visiting defence reads Finn Russell's pass to Duhan van der Merwe well.

It halts Scottish momentum somewhat and gets Wales some much-needed territory.

    Scotland's attack is cooking here.

Can they find that ruthlessness that has so often been lacking in their game to keep their foot on the gas and put Wales away?

  11. 'Narrow Welsh defence exposed'published at 16:59 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Scotland 14-3 Wales

It's the edge attack, understanding where the space is most difficult for Wales to cover.

The fend from Duhan van der Merwe, the pace of Huw Jones on the edge, and the depth that Blair Kinghorn had at second receiver... they allowed Scotland to play on the channel.

It's so difficult for Wales to cover if you get narrow in defence.

  12. Wales defence in disarraypublished at 16:58 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Scotland 14-3 Wales

    Gareth Griffiths
    BBC Sport Wales at Murrayfield

Wales wing Tom Rogers was forced off with an arm injury and this caused a backline reshuffle that Scotland capitalised upon.

Rogers' replacement Joe Roberts, normally a centre, slots in on the left wing and Ellis Mee switches to the right.

Seconds later, Scotland score their second try. Clinical stuff.

Another stunning score stretches Scotland's lead.

Duhan van der Merwe fends off Ellis Mee all too easily and creates a two-on-one out wide.

Huw Jones races down the line before passing inside to Tom Jordan who scores his first international try.

    Finn Russell converts once more.

    Brilliant try from Scotland.

That was something they struggled with at Twickenham, maintaining attacking momentum when the move gets into double-digit phases.

Superb finish from Blair Kinghorn and a cracking touchline conversion from Finn Russell.

A lovely piece of multi-phase by Scotland.

They just did enough to stretch the Welsh defensive line, create a mismatch, and drive over.

14 phases but 13 phases of excellent defence from Wales.

They were working so hard, some big collisions, Jac Morgan to the fore.

Scotland did so well to regenerate possession. They had to work hard for the metres they made. It's a brilliantly times pass from Darcy Graham, perfect distribution.

    Blair Kinghorn

Blair Kinghorn crashes over in the corner after 14 Scotland phases - a wonderful score.

Patient play takes the hosts to the edge of the 22, before an injection of pace sets Darcy Graham away, who in turn finds Kinghorn.

A quick stop-start helps the Scotland full-back evade one tackle, and he holds off a couple more to dot down.

Finn Russell - after three missed kicks against England - nails the conversion from out wide.

Jamie Ritchie is penalised for jumping across the line.

It's Taulupe Faletau who wins it - he's won the second most line-outs in the tournament up until now. For all the ball carrying and big moments, he's a real line-out option.
