The All Blacks are certainly playing with their customary freedom.

It's not quite pinpoint yet as Ardie Savea's pass inside to Damian McKenzie strays forward stopping them in their tracks on the counter.

The chance came after a great turnover from Jordie Barrett as England were looking to attack.

England have possession as the clock ticks down to half-time.

Scott Barrett is sent through a gap with a lovely flat ball and England are having to make a few last-ditch challenges.

But a third New Zealand penalty again allows England off the hook and they can kick into All Black territory.

It was a silly penalty for Ethan de Groot to give away.

The momentum is with the hosts and they are taking some direct lines to make ground.

Stephen Perofeta finds space again - he's impressed so far.

But TJ Perenara gives England a reprieve with an illegal clear out at the breakdown on England lock Maro Itoje as he looked for the turnover.

England cannot give New Zealand anything for free. They have to tidy up their kicking game.

Mark Telea only needs the merest hint of a gap to glide through as England are finding out.

He's electric and ghosts through tackles.

A couple of phases later though there's a New Zealand handling error and England can regroup.

Jamie George has a word with his side while they take a breather.

The All Blacks are getting on top now and a 50/22 gets them back into England territory quickly.

England need to weather the storm.

    Ardie Savea

    They hit back immediately!

Full-back Stephen Perofeta beats Ben Earl all ends up with some fancy footwork and sends world player of the year Ardie Savea over in the corner!

Great work from Perofeta to set that one up, he saw the space and went for it.

McKenzie again misses from the tee though.

There's a nice pace to the game now and it's back and forth as New Zealand come again...

    Maro Itoje; con Marcus Smith

Oooh how close is that? England think they've scored.

Maro Itoje thinks he's over and so does the ref!

There's good work from Chandler Cunningham-South to get close to the line and Itoje then finishes it off.

Marcus Smith adds the conversion and suddenly England lead.

England's blitz defence was so tight that there were acres and acres of space for Damian McKenzie to make a pinpoint kick to Sevu Reece. All that was set up by manipulating the England blitz defence.

    Better from England!

Nice attack and they have New Zealand scrambling back as a kick goes in behind but Damian McKenzie always looks favourite and is able to dot it down despite a difficult bounce.

But England have another chance now with an attacking line-out.

Harlequins prop Fin Baxter is on for his international debut with club-mate Joe Marler heading off early.

Presumably he's taken a knock and can't continue.

    Sevu Reece

    The All Blacks are in!

Damian McKenzie has the advantage and sends a crossfield kick over to Sevu Reece who grabs it and with Tommy Freeman caught under the ball he goes over for the first try of the game.

McKenzie can't add the extras from wide though.

    Advantage New Zealand.

Here come New Zealand again though and they are breaking tackles and finding space for the first time.

I wondered if Feyi-Waboso would be exposed there but he made a big hit that stopped the runner in his tracks.

Well, they did the first bit right by catching the line out but then the ball goes forward and England are off the hook.

There aren't many better than Ardie Savea from close-range and a replay shows the ball was knocked out of his hands by team-mate's boot rather than an England tackle so something of a let off for Steve Borthwick's men.

There was a great tackle by Immanuel Feyi-Waboso on a charging Dalton Papalii on first phase ball just before Savea got it.

And now there's an England free-kick to release the pressure valve further.

A first scrum penalty for New Zealand now - and it brings a big cheer from the Dunedin crowd!

Jordie Barrett uses his big boot to send it into the corner.

What can the ABs do from here?

    New Zealand 0-0 England

    Great line speed from England!

Henry Slade bursts out of the line to shut down Jordie Barrett but he just knocks it on in the tackle.

Immanuel Feyi-Waboso picks up the loose ball and thinks he's in before being called back by the referee.

That would have been a nerve-settler. Just shows a little bit of tension in those Smith legs.
