Casey was tackled by RG Snyman and the back of his head hit the grass hard as he landed.

It all appears to be legal, but let's hope Craig is okay after that one. That's the main priority.

Conor Murray is already on the pitch in place of his Munster team-mate.

Very little chase on kicks and the line speed has slowed but Ireland are hanging in there. What a climax in store.

Craig Casey looks to be in a bit of trouble here. We've yet to see a replay but he's getting treated by the medics.

Andrew Porter is back on the pitch after getting the blood attended to, and Finlay Bealham is on too.

Just before that, Casey sent a delightful kick into the 22 and Ireland have the throw!

This has become a bit like Wimbledon and the ball is being sent end-to-end with the kicks.

    Who will blink first?

  6. 'Big call and that was marginal'published at 17:33 British Summer Time 6 July

Caelan Doris was arguing with Luke Pearce that Kelleher hooked it back before he hit the deck and it is so close. Ireland have been under so much pressure and it is such small margins at the breakdown that may make the difference in this test match.

  7. Missed penalty - South Africa 13-8 Irelandpublished at 17:31 British Summer Time 6 July

    Handre Pollard

It's well wide by Pollard. Not even close.

Ireland are still in it with 20 minutes to play!

  8. Disallowed trypublished at 17:30 British Summer Time 6 July

    South Africa 13-8 Ireland

It was brilliant by Lowe, but it counts for nothing!

Kelleher was deemed to be on the ground when he won the ball, so it's disallowed and South Africa have the penalty!

    South Africa 13-13 Ireland

It seems to be a question over whether Kelleher was on the floor when he hooked the ball back.

Oh, hang on. There's a quick TMO check for a possible knock on.

Try - South Africa 13-13 Irelandpublished at 17:27 British Summer Time 6 July

    James Lowe

    SENSATIONAL!

Ireland win the turnover inside their own half and Casey spots Lowe on the left wing.

The Leinster wing beats Marx, and then holds off Handre Pollard and sprints clear to score.

The first thing we saw from the 'Bomb Squad' was a penalty surrendered at the scrum but there's an impact from Malcolm Marx. So good at the breakdown, that was textbook from the hooker.

Ireland getting on the wrong side of Luke Pearce at the worst possible time here, four penalties of the last five have gone against them.

A kick wide almost sets Kolbe free o the right wing but James Lowe just does another to break his stride.

The Boks still have the ball, and now it's the turn of the forwards to make their move.

  14. Postpublished at 17:24 British Summer Time 6 July

    South Africa 13-8 Ireland

It's HUGE defence from South Africa.

Ireland are piling the bodies forward and Malcolm Marx is there to get his body over the ball. Big turnover.

    Alan Quinlan

A great kick from Casey but that was a superb turnover by Josh van der Flier. Ireland are under pressure but they are hanging in there and that could be crucial.

  16. Postpublished at 17:23 British Summer Time 6 July

    South Africa 13-8 Ireland

RG Snyman, a familiar face to Munster and Leinster fans, spills the line-out and Ireland have a scrum right on the 22.

This is a good platform if they get this right.

  17. Replacementpublished at 17:22 British Summer Time 6 July

    South Africa 13-8 Ireland

There's a lot of blood on Andrew Porter's hard as he jogs off, and Cian Healy is on in his place.

Not a bad man to bring on as Healy moves within three caps of Brian O'Driscoll's Irish record.

That's a superb clearing kick by Craig Casey, who has been quietly efficient on the biggest start of his career.

Josh van der Flier produced a stunning turnover in the lead-up to that.

Quick as a flash, the hosts are well inside the Irish half, with Kriel making most of the yards before he's met by a meaty tackle by Ciaran Frawley, who is also on in the Irish back line.
