Summary

  1. Sin-bin Bitila Tawake (Fiji)published at 57 mins

    Scotland 22-10 Fiji

It does meet yellow card threshold and will be sent to the bunker again.

Tawake is Fiji's second caution of the day.

There is a hinge in the hips from the Fijian hooker, but she was driving up and it was a shoulder to Martin's throat - which is considered part of the head.

And they are looking it. The try will still stand, don't worry Scotland fans.

Martin was in real discomfort there after the tackle, holding her throat.

There's a delay in showing the referee the pictures. Right now, Lauren Jenner is just looking at a massive screen of her own face.

  3. try

    Francesca McGhie

Scotland are over in the corner! It's McGhie again but that all came from the forwards.

The driving maul took them up to the 5m line. Elis Martin was then hit around the throat, but play went on. It was back to the left, McGhie stepped inside and dived over.

They'll be looking at this again, I imagine.

    Scotland 17-10 Fiji

Scotland are attacking for the very first time in this second half. It's been a dreadfully slow start to this second period.

There's a couple of subs on, as well. Anne Young and Alex Stewart are on, with Leah Bartlett and Rachel McLachlan replaced.

We've just seen the Salote Nailolo charge-down again.

Fair play to Evie Gallagher charhing it down, but the ball comes back to hit Nailolo in the face.

    Insult to injury.

    Manuqalo Komaitai

    It's a seven-point game!

The Fijian scrum-half picks-and-goes, then works it to Jade Coates. She pops back inside and the number eight goes through a gap.

There's a big mistake though, as Salote Nailolo sees her conversion right in front of the sticks charged down.

She was far too slow in taking that, and it could be costly.

Fiji are still coming forward in wave after wave. Only a Fijian mistake is going to stop them scoring here...

And there is the mistake. A knock on, and it lets Scotland out of jail.

  9. Fiji held up on the line!published at 43 mins

    Scotland 17-5 Fiji

So Fiji have the penalty and they take a scrum. They're pounding on the Scotland door now!

They're over the line... but Lauren Jenner says it's held up!

She took a long, long time to look for it. We can see it on a replay now... and it's definitely held up. Good refereeing.

Lisa Cockburn is on to replace Clarke, who is able to leave the field assisted by the physios.

Molly Wright also could have come on for Scotland. Plenty of proptions.

  11. Clarke injured for Scotlandpublished at 41 mins

    Scotland 17-5 Fiji

A horror start to the second half for Scotland. Fiji have marched all the way down to the five-metre line and look like scoring.

There's a knock on, but Scotland gave away a penalty.

Down the other end of the pitch, Elliann Clarke is down with a knee problem. We've seen it on a replay, and hopefully it's not as bad as it looks.

    Here we go again.

Will Scotland build on the lead? Will Fiji tire? Or will they come back and make this game even tighter?

    Let's see.

  13. Orr to the forepublished at 15:47 British Summer Time 30 August

Emma Orr just gets better and better and her influence in this Scotland team continues to grow.

Many of Scotland's best moments in that first half had Orr's prints on them.

The clever kick in behind that created Francesca McGhie's opening try, pouncing on a loose ball to turn defence into attack which led to Rhona Lloyd's second try, and several smart defensive reads have all contributed to an impressive first-half performance.

  14. We should have mentioned...published at 15:45 British Summer Time 30 August

    HT: Scotland 17-5 Fiji

There was a late change to the Scotland squad. Replacement scrum-half Caity Mattinson was replaced on the bench by Rhea Clarke.

If she comes on in the second-half, Scotland could have both Clarke sisters on the pitch at the same time.

  15. Stat attackpublished at 15:41 British Summer Time 30 August

62% possession for Fiji, with 217 metres made.

Yet it's the Scots who are one try away from the bonus point.

As things stand, Scotland are second with nine points and are currently qualifying - but they need to remain clinical.

  17. 'World-class' McGhie gives Scotland fast startpublished at 15:36 British Summer Time 30 August

    Siwan Lillicrap
    Former Wales captain

Fiji have caused some disruption out there, not made it easy for Scotland,

The rain is playing into Fiji's hands because Scotland aren't getting the momentum that they got against Wales last week.

Fran McGhie is obviously a world-class finisher and she's proved that this afternoon.

  18. Half-time Scotland 17-5 Fijipublished at 15:33 British Summer Time 30 August

Scotland's throw is poor and Fiji kick it out to bring us into the break.

This is not the easy contest the first 10 minutes suggested. Fiji have given Scotland a real game here, they've controlled large portions of the game - if not the scoreline.

Plenty of work still to do for Scotland. Fiji are up for the fight.

Scotland secure a set-piece and get into the Fijian 22m.

Helen tries a grubber through but it squirms out for a throw. The throw is long, Elis Martin picks up at the back and looks certain to score - but she's dunted backwards by a huge hit.

    No entry!

A brief pause in play as Litiana Vueti is removed from the field by the referee.

I assume that is for an HIA check. Her mouthguard must have indicated a high-impact collision.

19-year-old Salote Nailolo is on as a replacement for the time being.
