Tinus De Beer has played in every league game for Cardiff this season, he's been excellent, he's stepped up and really given that Cardiff back-line some consistency.

Cardiff are enjoying some good territory and possession in Ospreys' half, but it all comes to an end with a knock-on and a few heated words.

Justin Tipuric isn't interested in handbags though, a quick tap and he's off.

The game has just entered that cagey phase, after an explosive start to the game the tempo has just started to slow down.

The game just needs to speed up.

Ian Gough wasn't convinced any of the fringe players stuck their hand up in the first game between Scarlets and Dragons

Will we see any standout performances here?

Ospreys need to focus on not gifting that ball to Cardiff, they won't want to get into a kicking battle, Cardiff will back themselves in that area.

A sorry sight as the try scorer limps off the field with the medics.

A short but spectacular 15 minutes for the winger.

Cardiff head coach Matt Sherratt said just last week that Theo Cabango can create something out of nothing... and he showed it with that try.

To be fair, Keelan Giles did about as much as he could to stop that.

    Great finish!

An unbelievable try from the flying winger.

The officials took a look at the grounding, but it's good. What a finish.

Tinus de Beer gets the touchline conversion.

Nicky Smith is possibly underrated for just how good a ball carrier he is.

Cardiff defended well initially, but ran of out of bodies. What a great start from the Ospreys.

It's been coming, Ospreys had been edging closer and closer and it's the departing Nicky Smith who goes over for the opening try.

Dewi Lake and Kieran Williams have to have big games today if the Ospreys want any chance of getting that bonus point win.

    Cardiff 0-0 Ospreys

Ospreys need a bonus point win to make the play-offs, and they've showed their intention early on by turning down a kickable penalty and opting for the corner.

I do think the Ospreys team will have too much firepower for Cardiff today.

If you look at the back row, you've got the likes of Justin Tipuric and Jac Morgan, they really are difference makers.

  16. One final result needed for Ospreyspublished at 17:32 1 June

    Cardiff 0-0 Ospreys

Everything has gone Ospreys' way so far in the URC this weekend.

It began last night with Connacht coming away empty-handed against Leinster.

At lunchtime today, Lions only picked up a losing bonus point against Stormers - after leading at half-time.

Then Edinburgh were left with nothing from their trip to Benetton, who became the seventh side to qualify for the play-offs.

It means if Ospreys beat Cardiff - with a bonus point - they will now reach the play-offs.

Morgan Morris has been the player of the season for the Ospreys, he's got another great opportunity today to prove to Warren Gatland that he should be going on that summer tour.

It is hard to wonder what more Morgan Morris has to do to get into the Wales squad.

The Ospreys number eight is perhaps the unluckiest player in Wales in the last couple of years having been so consistent for his region.

Ospreys player-of-the-season for the past two years and more player of the match awards than any team-mate. And yet that Wales call still eludes the 25-year-old.

His work at the breakdown and an eye for the line - five tries this season - are clear but Ospreys head coach Toby Booth believes Morris has made big strides with his defence.

"For international rugby, you need two out of three attributes. He's not 6ft 4ins, or a jumper, so he needs visibility on both sides of the ball," said Booth.

"If he can continue to improve that and be in the game for long periods of time, then hopefully it's a question of when (he gets picked)."

Scrum-half Reuben Morgan-Williams could capitalise on the loss of injured Tomos Williams, wing Keelan Giles will be hoping for a chance, centre Keiran Williams will be eager for another opportunity after missing out on the World Cup, while English-born full-back Max Nagy may opt to pin his colours to the Welsh flag if his credentials are accepted by World Rugby.

Ospreys have made two changes to the team that defeated Dragons two weeks ago.

Full-back Max Nagy replaces Jack Walsh with Owen Watkin coming in for Tom Florence at centre.

Nicky Smith starts at loosehead in what could be his final game before joining Leicester, with Dewi Lake lining up at hooker and Tom Botha at tighthead.

James Ratti partners Huw Sutton in the second row, with a back row of Jac Morgan, the captain Justin Tipuric and Morgan Morris at eight.

Reuben Morgan-Williams and Dan Edwards are the half-backs, with Keiran Williams partnering Watkin in the midfield.

Keelan Giles and Luke Morgan join Nagy in the back three.

Ospreys: Max Nagy; Luke Morgan, Owen Watkin, Keiran Williams, Keelan Giles; Dan Edwards Reuben Morgan-Williams; Nicky Smith, Dewi Lake, Tom Botha, James Ratti, Huw Sutton, Jac Morgan, Justin Tipuric (capt), Morgan Morris.

Replacements: Sam Parry, Gareth Thomas, Rhys Henry, Victor Sekekete, Harri Deaves, Luke Davies, Owen Williams, Harri Houston.
